Letter to the Editor from Jenny Sorenson - People for Honest Politics

People for Honest Politics’ is working hard to unite our community around a shared belief in the merit of education. This is why we want to celebrate the spirit and grit of past school board officials who created the following exceptional opportunities for our children: Kid Clinic, Planetarium, Adventurarium/Science Center, STEM labs, Aquatic Center, Enrichment Camp, Mallo Camp, Pioneer School, World War II Day, and Rec Mill grants. These school board accomplishments required civility and collaboration with businesses and government entities–they created a legacy of innovation.

Using questionnaires, forums, and campaign literature, our organization sought candidates with the expertise to move our educational system forward and not be held back by personal agendas that only create chaos and confusion.

We are confident that Tim Albin, Lisa Durgin, Darcy Ochs Gillaspy, Meldene Goehring, and Mark Christensen are committed to partnering with educators and administrators. Their common-sense leadership prioritizes learning environments where students can thrive and feel safe, where school staff feel valued, and where parents can stay up-to-date with their child’s education. Please join us in voting for Albin, Durgin, Gillaspy, Goehring, and Christensen on November 5.
